Safety Standards & Liability Protocols

Medical Clearance Requirements:

At The Lab, your safety is the foundation of your performance. Our data-driven methodology requires that every athlete is physically prepared for the physiological stress of elite-level training.

  • Mandatory Medical Consultation: We strongly recommend that all clients consult with a licensed physician before beginning any new exercise or nutrition protocol.

  • The Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q): Every client must complete a standard health screening to identify any underlying conditions that could affect their safety.

  • Listen to Your Body: High-performance training requires intense focus. If at any point during your program you experience physical discomfort, dizziness, or unusual pain, you must stop immediately and seek medical attention.

  • Injury Reporting: Transparency is vital for your Athletic Blueprint. You are required to inform your specialist of any known health concerns, previous injuries, or medical changes that occur during your coaching.

Legal Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

By using the services and information provided by Blueprint Athletic Coaching, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms regarding liability and professional scope:

  • Assumption of Risk: You understand that participating in athletic and recreational activities involves certain inherent risks, including but not limited to muscle strain, physical injury, and, in rare instances, severe bodily harm. You voluntarily assume all such risks and responsibilities for any damages or losses you may incur as a result of your participation.

  • No Liability for Negligence: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Blueprint Athletic Coaching and its specialists expressly disclaim any and all liability for any injury, loss, or damage to person or property, whether arising from the negligence of the coach or otherwise.

  • Not Medical Advice: Our coaching is for educational and performance-enhancement purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

  • No Guarantee of Results: Performance outcomes are highly individual. We make no guarantees or promises regarding specific results, as success depends on your unique health profile, dedication, and background.

Practitioner Scope of Practice

At The Lab, our specialists operate within a strictly defined professional scope of practice centered on performance optimization and evidence-based athletic development.

1. Performance vs. Clinical Medicine
The performance practitioners are sports science experts, not medical doctors. While we use biometric data to engineer your Athletic Blueprint, we do not diagnose, treat, or provide prescriptions for any medical conditions, injuries, or illnesses. The protocols are designed to enhance your physical output, not to provide clinical rehabilitation or medical intervention.

2. Nutritional Coaching vs. Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT)
The nutritional protocols advised are focused on fueling for performance, body composition optimization, and metabolic efficiency. We provide educational guidance and macro-nutrient periodization. We do not provide Medical Nutrition Therapy or specific meal plans to treat clinical disorders (such as diabetes, hypertension, or eating disorders).

3. Mental Performance vs. Clinical Psychology
The 'Mindset' pillar of The Lab focuses on cognitive efficiency, pre-performance routines, and attentional focus. These are non-clinical interventions aimed at enhancing athletic 'flow' and consistency. The specialists do not provide therapy or counseling for clinical mental health conditions.

4. Professional Referrals
A core tenet of The Lab's integrity is knowing when to refer out. If a client's needs fall outside the scope of performance coaching—such as requiring physical therapy for a chronic injury or clinical psychological support—the specialists are trained to pause protocols and recommend consultation with the appropriate licensed medical professional.
